Today’s update is a fairly short one – it was another simple day for Dallas. Overall, she seemed even more alert today, looking around the room, and moving her head from side to side – the PT/OT must be working 😉
We solidified a plan for her to stay on Heparin for the time being, which puts us at ease having stressed about anticoagulant options for the last several days. In the event that we transition to an inpatient pediatric rehabilitation hospital (hoping for Levine in Charlotte next), or there is a change that makes it necessary, we’ll switch at that time and know what that looks like.
Dallas is making more progress with her feeding goal, shifting from 5 feeds over 2 hours to 5 feeds over 90 minutes. It’s the same volume of food, just condensing the time to be quicker.
Otherwise, we spent a good bit of the afternoon with Papa hanging decorations and preparing her room for tomorrow’s birthday celebration – the big FIVE!
