We’re still reducing the cough assist frequency, which Dallas only had once today. We feel she’s doing a much better job clearing her mucus and airway, and don’t want to overdo it if not necessary. Coughing has also decreased.

Her feeds were bumped up overnight and she had 2 bolus feeds again today without issue. We’re slowing working toward a more traditional feeding schedule, but gradually reintroducing it.

PT/OT were back working with Dallas and again spent the majority of the time with her being upright, fully supported on the edge of the bed. This wore her out, as was obvious by her 3 hour nap that followed.

Heather was able to spend some snuggle time with our girl in the rocking chair, which was just as special of a moment for her as was for me yesterday. When not resting in her deep sleep, which is great for healing, we did see a lot more her blue eyes today – always a win!

Dallas’s Papa drove up and helped us to support her while Heather worked diligently to remove the last bit of lingering glue from the EEG leads. Afterwards, we throughly washed her hair and she was out again for some rest.

Papa is on night duty, allowing mom and dad some much needed sleep.

“Close your eyes, get some rest… when you wake, you’ll feel your best!” – Mommy

Another busy day for you all. I am glad you (Heather and Brett) got some rest together. It must be a relief to be able to have a little downtime so you can both unload and think of what is going well and what you want to look at more closely. It must be a comfort to have another family member to take a turn.

Looking at her room, I see all kinds of special equipment. There are so many new developments in medicine these days. I am glad you are in a good place with so many educated medical professionals. I know it must be hard to trust everyone but you are doing the very best you can.
Lots of good thoughts are with you all. Reyn

Touched by Dallas and mama’s picture, love glowing, good you can have a little down time, have to care for the caregivers. She does have the most beautiful blue eyes, sounds like she’s going in a positive direction. With both of you being there your love will get you all through this healing time. I think of you every day, hoping and praying she heals at a good pace. Pt and ot, great, tired her out a bit..hugs to you all, love Aunt Grace

That EEG glue is like cement isn’t it! Love the photos each day – thank you for sharing the intimate view of your environment. We hope you are getting rest, physically and emotionally. You remain in our thoughts and prayers.
